40 Days of Happy – Day 1
Day 1 of 40 Days of Happy
Day 1 was a little tough, coming off sugar is hard, and there many cravings to combat, so the best way to start is to conquer the sugar with Fat.
To kick start my day, I started with a Bullet proof coffee vegan style, 2 cups of coffee, 1 tbsp of coconut oil, 1 tbsp of almond butter, place all of it in a blender and wait till it’s frothy.
Followed by a slice of gluten free toast with banana and blueberries
Giving up sugar is the hardest thing I have done this year. To help withdrawal symptoms, I drank another 2 coffees to keep me going as I was on the run, and brought a salad with me.
Peas, sugar snap, kale, spinach and desiccated coconut with some more blueberries. Getting natural sugar into me to help with cravings.
For dinner I had a quick wheat free pasta with a simple tomato sauce from a can, added a bit of garlic, basil and seasoning.
